Points Race #1

Good Afternoon Little T Members and Handlers,

We’re excited to kick off our first Points Race of the 2025 Season this weekend!

We are currently monitoring the weather forecast for Saturday, and while it’s not looking promising at the moment, we will make a final decision soon and notify everyone as soon as possible.

Class Update: New 310 World Formula Division

Due to a low number of drivers in the Lt. World Formula and Hvy. World Formula classes, the Board has decided to combine these two into a single division, now titled 310 World Formula. This decision ensures all drivers in these divisions have the opportunity to race and enjoy the day alongside their friends.

We will be updating this change with NASCAR. Please note that NASCAR requires a minimum of three drivers per division for official recognition. Our goal is to help all divisions meet this minimum so that no class is excluded from racing.

Race Day Notes & Reminders (based on last weekend's observations):

  1. Golf Balls: Children and adults must not touch or handle the golf balls. This is a direct request from the track owners.

  2. Rock Driveway: Children should not play with the rocks in the driveway or place objects on the pavement leading toward the tower.

  3. High Visibility Clothing: All corner workers, Race Director, Flaggers and anyone stepping onto the Track should have High Visibility clothing or a vest on.

  4. Red Flag: Only one Handler per car is allowed on Track and no touching your car or talking to other drivers. Only the RaceDirector can allow another handler on the track.

  5. Hot Chute Safety: Fueling and changing your oil or applying lubricants to cars is strictly prohibited in the Hot Chute area.

  6. Race Day Committees: If you are assigned to a race day role (e.g., flagging, pole barn, second set), you are responsible for communicating with the Board Member in charge of that committee.

    • If you need to leave your post, please ensure someone is available to take over or inform the Race Director so the Tower can be updated.

    • This will help eliminate downtime and keep our race day running efficiently.

Club Vote – Sunday, May 4th

The Board is calling for a Club Meeting this Sunday, May 4th, to vote on a proposed new rule regarding Dual Membership.

Proposed Rule: Dual Member Policy

  • Annual Dues: $60.00 Club Dues + Regular NYS Dues

  • Eligibility: Must be a full-time member at another track and in good standing at that home track

  • Participation:

    • May run all events and be eligible for points

    • Must complete race day duties when signed in

  • Duty Requirements:

    • If the dual member races less than 50% of Little T points races:

      • No requirement for concession or tower duty

    • If the dual member races more than 50% of points races:

      • Required to complete 2 concession shifts and 1 tower shift per membership year

      • If duties are not self-assigned, they will be automatically assigned at sign-in upon reaching the 50% threshold

  • Voting Rights: Dual members will not have voting rights

Thank you for your attention and continued support. Let’s work together to make this season a safe, efficient, and fun experience for all!
